​East Troublesome Fire, Grand County, updated 10/22/2020
The East Troublesome Fire in Grand County started 10/14 North of Hot Sulphur Springs.  It has spread to 125,000 acres and is currently burning at 5% containment. As the incident is still developing, click here for ways to volunteer or register for the Colorado Responds newsletter to stay up to date on the latest developments.  Financial contributions to support community recovery can be made to the Grand Foundation.

Please also considering making contributing or volunteering with an agency currently supporting the community:   
American Red Cross is providing shelter to evacuated households.
The Salvation Army is providing meals to displaced individuals and first responders. 
Spark the Change Colorado is providing volunteer management. 


Cal-Wood Fire, Boulder County, updated 10/18/2020
The Cal-Wood Fire in Boulder County started 10/17 near Jamestown and resulted in immediate evacuations.  As the incident is still developing and there are no reported volunteer or in-kind donations needs.  Visit Boulder County Office of Emergency Management for more information.  
The 2020 Fires Relief Fund has been established, in partnership with Boulder County, to support individuals, families, and nonprofit organizations affected by the Cal-wood and Lefthand Canyon Fires. Tax-deductible donations can be made any of the following ways:

  • Mail checks made out to “Community Foundation Boulder County” with “2020 Fires Relief Fund” in the memo to Community Foundation Boulder County, 1123 Spruce Street, Boulder, CO, 80302.

Burning since August 13, the Cameron Peak Fire has grown to be the largest wildfire in Colorado history, claiming residences and other structures in its wake.  Responding agencies are not currently accepting physical or in-kind donations.  The best way to assist it to provide direct support through a financial contribution.  United Way of Larimer County is accepting financial contributions through the Larimer County Fire Recovery Fund to support individuals and agencies working to assist evacuees and others affected by the Cameron Peak Fire. 
The Community Foundation of Northern Colorado is also collecting financial contributions to support individuals and agencies affected by Cameron Peak, learn more or make a donation here.   

Agencies that are directly assisting in the Cameron Peak Fire effort at this time include:
  • The American Red Cross: Seeking donations for Western wildfire relief and general disaster response.
  • Larimer Humane Society: Register to provide temporary housing for animals affected by the Cameron Peak fire. 
  • A Little Help
  • Volunteers of America: Seeking donations to support and mobilize volunteers.
  • Colorado Baptist Disaster Relief: Providing meals and snacks to evacuees.
  • The Salvation Army Vail: Has mobilized a feeding response for evacuees of the Grizzly Creek Fire. The Army’s Vail Service Center feeding team is on standby, and the center has secured a cafeteria and made connections with local restaurant partners for support. The Vail team is coordinating efforts with the Red Cross. The Vail Service Center is also supporting the Adult Rehabilitation Center with hotel partners and potential congregate shelters.
  • Team Rubicon: Team Rubicon serves communities by mobilizing veterans to continue their service, leveraging their skills and experience to help people prepare, respond, and recover from disasters and humanitarian crises. Seeking donations to support disaster relief efforts.
  • Glen Haven Area Volunteer Fire Department: Small volunteer fire department needs help after battling massive Cameron Peak Fire. Donate today.
  • Livermore Fire Protection District: Our Mission is to support & serve the community by raising funds and providing resources for Livermore Fire Protection Dist. Visit the website to donate or contact LFPD today to volunteer.
  • Loveland Fire Rescue Authority: Seeking donations to support the efforts of the Loveland Fire Rescue Authority.

  • Red Feather Lakes Volunteer Fire Department: On this website you will find information that can help you minimize fire risk to your family and your property when a wildland fire approaches, as well as information explaining evacuation procedures and routes, and hazards to be aware of when you return.   • Rist Canyon Volunteer Fire Department: RCVFD is staffed by approximately 35 volunteer emergency responders and strongly supported by the community. Visit their website for wildfire information and resources and ways to volunteer and donate.
